We are phasing out our old email address (racing@superior.net)
and replacing it with our new one:

Please
use this one now.
7/2/09:
Budget Sportsman race
teams the Ridge Runners Series race that was held at Devils Bowl
Speedway will count for Ridge Runner Series Points. In all fairness to
the Drivers that did not think this was a series race and for the
Drivers that took the time to come to Devils Bowl for that race there
will now be a best 6 out of 7 race series. The next race in the series
will be Saturday July 4th at Devils Bowl Speedway.
Also
please note that this Saturday is a DIRTcar points race for the DIRTcar
Sportsman. And you must be on Hoosiers to receive DIRTcar points. Also
the date has passed if you are not a DIRTcar membership holder you will
not be listed in the DIRTcar points! Both DIRTcar Sportsman and CVRA
Budget Sportsman will receive points for the Ridge Runner Series this
Saturday. For the complete Ridge Runner Series schedule go to the Budget
Sportsman schedule.
6/28/09:
Pro stocks are NOT racing on Saturday
July 4th.
6/25/09:
Tech bulletin updated for modifieds.
6/8/09:
Budget Sportsman
please note that Hoosier Tires will only be allowed on DIRTcar nights...
Goodyear tires will be required on all 4 corners at all times except for
DIRTcar nights. Also please note that if you are using Hoosiers on the
DIRTcar nights you will NOT receive CVRA points. You must be on Goodyear
tires to receive CVRA points. And you must be on Hoosiers in order to
receive DIRTcar points. Please note that this information will be posted
on the tech bulletin page as well. Also Duke Stocks it is now legal to
use the aftermarket rims same as the Limited division and tubes are
legal as well.
6/2/09:
Please note that the mini-duke stocks will race every Friday night
from now on!! Race time for them will be 6:30 p.m. and must be in the pits no later than
6:00 p.m. Both mini and duke stocks will compete for championship points with the top 3 in points receiving
trophies at the season point party. Also they will race weekly for
trophies.
The following are the changes to the Budget points schedule (which has
been updated): Any weeks that DIRTcar is listed on the schedule they will race in the same race as the CVRA Budgets. Any cars that have DIRTcar
license and Hoosier tires will compete for the 2009 Albany-Saratoga DIRTcar Sportsman Championship. They will receive points for both CVRA and DIRT.
Only DIRTcar cars will be listed in the points and DIRTcar finish. Let's say the first car that comes across the finish line that is a
DIRTcar is in 8th place in the race; he or she will be listed as the
winner of the DIRTcar race. (Just like we did last year for the
rookies). We will stop both the CVRA and the DIRTcar winner at the finish line for
the BOBCO Video record, and both will visit victory lane in the back of the
pits for photos.
Also note that the Ridge Runner series dates have changed and they've
been updated on the Budget Schedule using the link above... There are now CVRA Budget points on Saturday July 4th and Sunday July
5th. July 5th is a DOUBLE POINTS night for everyone, including Budgets.
The new Enduro Schedule is now updated and includes lap counts.
Note at Devil's Bowl the cvra.com 100 is now on September 6th not Aug
30th.
Albany-Saratoga Sportsman are now off the card on July 3rd and July
31st, but "any and all" sportsman will be allowed to try to qualify with the modifieds on these two
dates if they choose to do so.

4/21/09:

with the top 12 locked in this year, not the top 10. So please take note of all
the above information. Thank you from the race director!
4/8/09:
In
further news... It has been asked if DIRTcar memberships will be
welcomed at Albany-Saratoga and Devil's Bowl Speedways on Friday and
Sunday nights? The answer is NO for any nights that do not play host
to DIRTcar events at both tracks. And YES to any DIRTcar events at both
speedways. Please check the race schedule links above for a list of events.
This policy will hold true for CRSA and ELS and ASCS. Their memberships
will also be welcome on the night of their events ONLY.

1/9/09:
As you are sending in
your car owner memberships, we want you to know that we are instituting
a new policy regarding car numbers. In the past, we have allowed
number/letter combinations. We will still allow them, but last year we
had three #23's in budgets, four #22's in sportsmen, etc. and it
resulted in much confusion for everyone, especially since many of the
cars had similar paint schemes. We had trouble with scorers, with
posting results on the board, with trying to line up cars on the
speedway... Therefore, from now on we will allow only one number and one
number/letter for each number. The third request that comes in for the
same number will be evaluated on an individual basis, and we reserve the
right to ask you to choose a different number.
Reminder: IF YOU ARE
SENDING IN YOUR CAR OWNER REGISTRATION, WE
NEED YOUR TRANSPONDER NUMBER!
If you send it in without it, we won't process your membership
card until we get your transponder number. So crawl under the car, dig out your
paperwork, do whatever you have to do to write it on your form.
12/3/08:
Remember to patronize our sponsors! They are the ones who
make it possible for us to continue to bring you quality local racing!
Truck
& Autowares has moved to their new location at 474 Maple Avenue,
which is on Route 9 in Wilton. They are offering 10% off purchases if
you show your 2008 CVRA membership card. If you're in the market for
aftermarket car or truck parts and accessories, this is the place you
want to shop at. They are now located one mile west off Exit 15, turn
right on Route 9.
MYLAPS.COM
We upload results to mylaps.com from our AMB Scoring System
Go to www.mylaps.com,
scroll down to click on Car Racing (not Stock Car Racing) and
then you can do a search for Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Then you click on the date and you can see the
events from that night's racing. You can also register yourself and
your transponder as a
user.
When
you search for Albany-Saratoga Speedway you have to have the dash
between Albany-Saratoga, otherwise it
won't find us. Devil's Bowl Speedway will include the apostrophe in
Devil's so don't forget that either.
SPEEDNET
We
are members of SpeednetDirect.com. You are able to go
directly to Speednet by using our results and point standings
buttons as usual. Results and point standings for both tracks will
be updated automatically. We will post results as soon as possible
after they are official.
I've
also posted a link to SpeednetDirect.com if you click their logo in the
toolbar to the left you can go directly to their site. They have
searchable point standings, results and news from all kinds of race
tracks all over the country.
ALSO: If you are trying to call for weather updates on
race day, you can call the race track.
