12/26/10 (updated from 12/22)

Enduros NOTE: Antifreeze Rule Change for Hangover 100 ONLY:
The use of antifreeze will be allowed only if the overflow tube of the radiator is
removed from the stock location ( that being the overflow bottle).
Overflow tube must be one piece and run from car's radiator to the lower
right hand corner (roof post) of the car's front windshield. Overflow tube must be securely
fastened by clamp on the radiator the end of hose. Must be securely mounted so that
the end of the tube is pointed upwards towards the roof of the car.
Please note that any cars overheating will be removed from speedway.

Renegades After consultation with Airborne Park Speedway, Albany-Saratoga, and Devil's Bowl, effective immediately, the use of the Holley 4412 carburetor is permitted with all engine options in the Renegade division at both Albany-Saratoga and Devil's Bowl Speedways.

Bomber Warriors The bushings on the right side lower control arm may be replaced with steel slugs or steel bushings. This rule is in effect at both Albany-Saratoga and Devil's Bowl.

Modifieds After an owner/driver meeting at Devil's Bowl a decision was made by unanimous vote that Devil's Bowl will not institute a gear rule this season.

7/17/10

Modifieds / Sportsman  Front tires NO DIRTcar 13" allowed on Left front. The following is the "legal" placement of tires. For modifieds right front Hoosier CVRA Spec 11" 26.5 or DIRTcar 13x82x15. Sportsman may use New Hoosiers or any used "dirt modified tire on right front. Left fronts for Modifieds are the Hoosier CVRA spec either the 26.5 or the 25.5 is permitted for use on left front or the DIRTcar 11x82x15. The use of DIRTcar 13x82x15 on the left front will result in a disqualification with loss of all money won and points for the event.

Modifieds Tire rule for 7-9 and 7-11 the use of the DIRTcar Hoosier left rear is allowed. Hoosier will deliver the new harder left rear and more right rears next Thursday 7-15 please call the speedway before you come over to pick them up. There will also be bigger lefts and smaller rights available next week. And next weekend we will be back on our regular tire rule using the new harder tires. Thanks for your understanding on this matter.

Modifieds Gear Rule Change Effective 7-9-10  Both Spec head options packages will be allowed to use up to 6.50 gear. This is at Albany-Saratoga Speedway only.

Renegades May use OEM passenger tires

Rule Book Revision under TIRES & WHEELS
1. Track tire optional. Track tire will be specified at the onset of the racing season. Stock O.E.M. passenger tires are optional. Maximum tire size is 235-70 series.

Modifieds May use DIRTCar Hoosiers on front ... see details below

As of 6/22, MODIFIEDS ONLY will be allowed the use of either DIRTcar Hoosiers or CVRA spec Hoosiers on the left or right FRONT. Rear tires MUST be CVRA spec tires unless you have received prior written consent from management as a casual appearance car.

Rule Books for both divisions will be updated by the end of the week.

6/17/10

Sportsmen Now Allowed Mirrors

Effective 6/17/10 sportsmen will be allowed one small 4" mirror to be mounted internally on the left hand area of the car. Mounting location to be approved by tech inspectors. No external mirrors allowed in this division.

Renegades May Use Rear Spoiler

Effective 6/17/10 renegades will be allowed one maximum 3" high rear spoiler.

Rule books have been updated to reflect these changes.

All Divisions Please Read

Pro-Stocks at Albany-Saratoga effective 5/28/10 Hoosier D60 tires will be allowed for cars that want to try the pavement. Albany -aratoga will allow teams that have not purchased Goodyears 3 weeks to try the pavement. If you have any questions please call the speedway at 518-857-0761. 

Also effective 5/28/10 the New England Truck Series "type" trucks will be allowed to compete with the pro-stocks at Albany Saratoga. We hope to develop this as its own class in 2011 so for the remainder of 2010 the trucks will compete with the pro-stocks. In our early season testing the lap times were the same. Trucks must follow their entire rules package, this includes tires!

Tire rules for Modifieds at Albany-Saratoga & Devil's Bowl

As stated on March 26th in the web blog, all race teams will have 3 race meets at both tracks to use any old Hoosiers. At the fourth race meet all CVRA Regulars must have CVRA Hoosier "Spec Tires" on all four corners. Any visiting race teams will be allowed to use either CVRA or DIRTcar tires. Also please note that at any of the Tri-Track races, CVRA Modified teams will be allowed to use either CVRA or DIRTcar Hoosiers. It is also required that the right side tires must be the Extra-Hard compound.  Race teams may use either Hard or Extra-Hards on left side of car. Any tire questions must be directed to either Jerry or Bruce Richards. Call them at the track(s) if you have any questions.
